Do we have choice for selecting the deductible amount under Home Policy?

Mostly, in India we do not have a choice to select deductibles that can help in determining our premiums.

I had read that you have such outside India. But, if you select higher deductibles, the premium would be low, in which case a lot my actually go out of your pocket.

We dont have selection option of deductible in the home insurance
