Yes, the policy will continue for the co-applicant for the respective Sum Insured.

Yes. The premium shall be calculated separately for both the applicants.

Hence both insured will enjoy the equal benefits. i.e. 50% of the Sum Insured and policy will continue for co-appliant in case death of policyholder.
