If the damage to your vehicle was caused by the other party, you can either have their insurance pay for it OR use your own insurance, and then they have the tight to get the money they pay you BACK from the atfault persons insurance. Basically, regardless of who you decide to file through, the person who is at fault’s insurance company pays for it. They either pay you directly, or they pay your insurance company back for paying you first.

You can claim both third party and first party if insured vehicle got hitted by other person vehicle than, insured can claim own damage with us or  either with assailant's insured company for compensation.
