When there is an injury/dealth to someone or damage to someone else's property and your vehicle is involved, you should immediately report the incident to the Police and to your Insurer. If you receive any legal notice pertaining to this incident you should be submitting the same to your Insurer. The matter is then taken up by the Insurer's legal team who would respond to your legal notice. On the other hand, if you are a victim, that is, if somebody else’s vehicle was involved, you must obtain the insurance details of that vehicle and make an intimation to the insurer of that vehicle.
