If I buy travel insurance in advance and have to cancel my trip due to emergencies, can I claim for the cancelled tickets and hotel bookings?

No, you won't be able to make a claim for ticket cancellation & hotel booking cancellation charges.

Most insurance policies allow for such claims if the cancellation is due to illnesses or other such emergencies
