It depends on policy to policy.In some Policy you can claim your bonus as well but for some Policy Insurer does not allows for bonus claims.

Monetary capping in your policy on expenses, exclusions, day-care coverage and other policy features and terms and conditions cannot be ported; it will be as per the new policy. Also, even if you choose the same Sum Insured, there is a chance that the premium may go up. This is because the pricing depends on the underwriting procedure of the new insurer

My Health Insurance was expired 2016 and I did not renew it... now I got a call from HDFC Ergo Mumbai brance saying you can withdraw the unclaimed bonus by paying 20,000/- to activate the policy.. is this true... can this be done

Hi Rakesh,

Even I got a call from HDFC ergo last week telling the same - after taking a some insurance of 20,000/- I will be able to claim the no cliam bonus. My policy got expired somewhere in 2013 I believe. I tried getting more info on this, but couldn't get any. Please share if you have any more details.

Did you get reply for the question, because even I got call many times to claim the lapsed insurance with renewal of my expired insurance of 2016. If you have got any response reply back to my email ajeshcpkumar@gmail.com

Hi All

I also got a call from mumbai saying that i can claim my bonus amont by paying 20k , i was asked to take some other insurance to get NOC  done . I have not got any notifications /info later .Please reply if any of you have got any info on this .

Even i got call asking to take new policy for 25000 to get no claim bonus.. they are calling me today like anything.. pl advise if this is the process to claim no claim bonus for HDFC ergo

Hi, I also received the call regards to the same from Mumbai & following it up with them. But there is no revert on the same. Did you get the NCB on expired Health Insurance
