Change of surname after wedding

I have changed my surname after wedding, do I need to report my insurance company or I can change it during renewal?

I suppose you are required to change your surname on the policy, if you change it officially.

You need to change your surname on policy. If your policy is about to expire then its better wait for sometime and make the changes during renewal.

Dear Sir/ Madam , 

The name correction/change needs to be intimated to the insurance company as it's difficult to process the refund & claim in case of mismatch in name in the policy. Please ensure to submit government proof reflecting the change of surname.
