Abortion

My sister's unborn baby has been diagnosed with Down's syndrome. The doctor has advised a medical termination of pregnancy. Can I claim insurance in such a special case?

Re: Abortion

Most health insurance policies do not cover medical termination of pregnancy. However, if there is a risk to the life of the mother, as a special case, the insurer may consider this as a special case, if it is certified as necessary by a doctor

Re: Abortion

If the pregnancy termination is required as per the doctor advice. those medical expense would be covered in the helth policy.
