It will be covered as long as the patient stays in the hospital for at least twenty four hours.

Tests done as an outpatient are not covered and tests even as in patients are covered only if prescribed.

Policyholder needs to be hospitalised atleast for 24 hrs for filing claims. Generally all pre hospitalization (30 days) and post hospitalization (60 days) expenses are  covered in India like X - rays, CT scan, MRI, ultrasound nursing, physicians, medicines , other diagonatic needs.
