Re: Policy Coverage

Hi Vishwas,

A Health Floater Policy covers entire family.

For Example: You + Spouse + Kids. (no of kids varies from insurer to insurer).

So basically Insurers provide coverage for 2 adult + 2 Childs(under 21 years only)

Now if you want to cover your Parents, and other family members then you will have to buy another policy.

You should buy a Health Floater Policy, it will cover your entire dependent family. And make sure you opt for an umbrella coverage where you get enough Sum Insured and best Benefits.

The best policy should cover all your needs.

Take a example of benefit : So if you already have kids then you don't need maternity benefit in your policy, but if you are planning for kid then you should opt for maternity benefit with your Health Policy.

All these benefits have cost, which increases or decreases the premium.

Re: Policy Coverage

Hi Vishwas,

There are two broad categories of Health Insurance: Benefit Policies and Indemnity Policy.

Medicalim policy will reimburse the expenses but won't provide you financial benefit in case you are unable to earn.
