If suppose my treatment cost excedes the sum insured for my policy. How will I able to cover under my cashless claim provision?

Re: Treatment cost excedes the sum insured

At times the hospital requests the insurer to increase the sum insured subject to terms and conditions of the policy.

I guess  excess amount which is above your  insured amount, that charges you have  to pay depending on terms and condition

Re: Treatment cost excedes the sum insured

The TPA only approves the expenses of the treatment, once the hospital has sent the final bill along with the discharge summary and other required documents and reports.
In certain cases, the hospitals request the TPA to increase the amount approved if needed during the treatment. However, maximum liability of the insurance company is upto the sum insured. Any expenses above the sum insured will have to be borne by the insured himself/herself
