Re: What is Disease Category Sub-Limit for health Insurance Policy?

Disease category sub-limit covers medical expenses towards distinct illness/injury up to the limit selected for that particular disease category. There is no restriction on the number of claims made in the current policy year provided it does not exceed the specified limit.

Certain policies apply certain claim limit to the particular diseases above which you can't claim. Different diseases have different limit for the sum insured. Sub-limits and caps put on different aspects of health insurance depend upon the insurance company, type of policy and the sum assured. Just as it is important to decide the sum assured you need, it is also important to know these sub-limits to make sure they correspond to the rents and charges of the hospitals you visit.
