Network Hospitals: Your health insurance provider has a tie-up with certain hospitals, which are known as network hospitals. These are hospitals where, if you are admitted, you need not get worry about arranging the money required for your treatment, as your insurer will be directly be bare the cost.
Non-Network Hospitals: Non-network hospitals are those where you would be required pay the bills for your treatment and produce these bills to your insurance firm who would then reimburse the amount due to you, depending on your insurance plan.
You can get in touch with your health insurance provider and ask for the list of their netowrk hospitals they have a tie up with.

As per my knowledge every insurance company has thier tie-ups with hospitals. Whenever you buy health insurance, you get a list of network hospitals. If you get treated at any of these network hospitals, you will not need to pay and all of your treatments/medicines will be cashless if they fall in the bracket of applicable treatments/medicines as per your insurance plan. The same treatments/medicines if you purchase or get done from Non-network hospitals, then you will need to pay cash and then claim the expenses by submitting original bills. You might get 80%-90% of your expense reimbursed.

Insurance providers ties up with some of the hospitals, labs, etc. This tie up is called the "network of hospitals" for the Insurance provider. When you visit these hospitals and need to claim insurance, that would be easy as they already have a tie up and most probably you need not have to pay any money as the "tie-up" will take care of this. For the list of "network of hospitals", you can either call toll-free number of the insurance provider or browse their website or ask the hospital admin dept itself. Out of network: Any hospitals, pharmacies, labs, clinics, etc which are not in the network you should pay the bills and then have to claim reimbursement later which might take more time and some times insurance provider can harass you by asking stupid questions, delays, etc.,Its always better to approach the "network of hospitals" if you find a good and suitable one for you to avoid unnecessary complications.
