Re: critical illness

As far as I know, if someone is covered under the Critical Illness policy and is diagnosed with such illness, the claim will only be paid if that person lives for over 30 days from the date he has been diagnosed with the illness.

Re: critical illness

Most insurance companies have CI policies with Survival period of 15 / 30 / 90 days which means post diagnosis of CI, insured will have to survive for specified number of days.

Re: critical illness

I already have a mediclaim. Should I go in for a critical illness plan as well?

Re: critical illness

It is advisable to go in for a critical illness plan for those with adverse family history.

Re: critical illness

While mediclaim reimburses hospital bills , the critical illness plan pays the entire sum insured upon the diagnosis of a specified illness. So it is wise to buy it
