Ban on firecrackers is a global concern to reduce global warming & pollution. It is a good initiative by govt/ organisations. Hats off to HDFC team to bring this in this discussion forum.
Wish you all a firecracker free Diwali. Jai hind.

No doubt it is a good moov but to save the dignity, intigrity, joy, hapiness connected to this festival govt should allot a space as far as my concern. A space where all people gather and celebrate this one of is only kind of festival in world. and ban smokey and loud cracker and allow to celebrate to celebrate in sober way.

Good Afternoon everyone, It is indeed not a political stunt by any party but to prevent us from numerous disesase, some of which ould show the symptoms immediately and some will show that later.

We should behave sensibly and DO NOT connect this with any religious issue. 'Hum Hain To Sab Hai' if something is not good for anyone's health and we should contribute towards that it means we are giving to our society and we should feel proud about that.

We should always think about the people who are ill, allergic to smoke, pollution, have astma or any diseases related to lungs. They all would be thanking us if we show this gesture.

Our first step towards this should be to refrain sharing whatsapp or any social media messages which advise to go for crackers which would be against the law. Why we always thinking of breaking laws??

I do agree that this decision should have come little early instead of mere 10 days prior to Diwali. There are number of small vendors and part timers who have spent a lot of their wealth to procure Crackers to make some money. Which is hurtful because they cant' sell their stuff.
