Re: Difference between home insurance and house insurance?

Hi, Property insurance provides protection against most risks to property, such as fire, theft and some weather damage. ... Home insurance, also commonly called hazard insurance or homeowner's insurance, is a type of property insurance that covers a private residence.

A home insurance is a multi-line policy meaning that it has more than one type of coverage therefore, house insurance provides protection against more risks to house such as theft, fire nd some weather damage

Re: Difference between home insurance and house insurance?

home insurance covers the actual building that you live in - and all the stuff inside it against theft and damage by fire and flood.

House insurance covers the structure of your house, and also protects any permanent fixtures like your bathroom and kitchen fittings, as well as your roof. This usually extends to outdoor buildings as well e.g. garages, sheds and greenhouses, but not fences, walls and gates.
