Sum insured varies at market place site for same car

Dear Friends,

It was very confusing that for same make and model, sum insured shown varies because of which some company is getting price advantage.  Isn't market place supposed to show apple to apple comparion of price.

Usually, companies try to show sum insured based on the car brand, make and model.

I believe, the sum insured for each vehicle depends on various factors. Therefore, there is no sum defined to insure vehicles based on the make and models for any general insurance companies to follow. Hence, the value of the sum insured varies
