When you buy a car insurace policy, the insurance company will issue you a temporary insurance document called cover note. You can use the cover note as a temporaryy proof of insurance for your registered vehicle for a temporary period of time. Normally, the insurance company replaces the cover note with your insurance policy within 60 days.
