unused ambulance

I was involved in a car accident last month. No one was injured although the car was damaged. An ambulance arrived on the scene but we refused help. However, it took down my phone no and after 2 days I received a call from them to pay an amount of Rs 4000. I have filed a claim for insurance but why should I pay for an ambulance I did not use?

Well, I think that a hospital has different depts to handle different areas. So the dept which sent you the bill may not be in sync with the ambulance people who visited you. There could be a simple misunderstanding which can be cleared.

There must be some miscommunication. Just call up or mail the hospital and sort it out
