Chandrika, 

You will have to raise request to the insurer through customer support with the updated RC copy and they will guide you with the detailed process as process for change differ from Insurer to Insurer.

Hi,  

You have to cancel the Own damage (OD) section of the policy for change of Private Car to Commercial Car.

We would require additional Differential premium, Vehicle inspection, RC copy and request letter to care@hdfcergo.com.
