I guess extended warranties depends on the Insured.
It can be super expensive but then it can save your expensive repair costs aswell.
I think you should consider few questions and then take your decision:
1. What all coverages are they providing?
2. Are you buying at the best price?
3. What if you dont buy, will you still have peace of mind?
4. What is your repair history?
5. Do you really need it?
