Trasfer of vehicle is done by the Customer Support Team of Insurer.
You can diirectly call on toll free no and ask them to transfer the insurance.
They will ask few details like Name and Number and Address of New Owner. Also The RC Transfer Date.
Just make sure that you contact the insurer within 14 days of Transfer of RC, otherwise Inspection of vehicle will be needed.

Upkar,
Transfer of insurance is done through the call center team of the Insurer.
You just need to call the toll free or request for same through Live Chat.
They will require few details like Name email id etc, of New Owner, RC transfer date.
But one of my friend called the insurer post 14 days of RC transfer date, so they informed him about the Vehicle Inspection.

Transferring insurance policy
When you transfer the insurance policy to the buyer, there are various steps which you should follow. Such steps are listed below:
Firstly, you should approach your insurance company from which you have bought your two-wheeler insurance policy. You should inform the company of the transfer and avail a No Claim Bonus Certificate. By virtue of this certificate, any No Claim Bonus which you have accumulated in your policy would remain in your name and wouldn’t get transferred to the buyer. As such, when you buy a fresh insurance policy for your new vehicle, you can avail the premium discount using the accumulated No Claim Bonus of your previous policy. To do so, the No Claim Bonus Certificate would be required.
