The difference would be that a travel medical insurance policy also covers lost baggage, delayed flights, etc. along with medical expenses.

Your travel insurance covers hospitalisation due to sickness or accident only overseas, whereas the health policy provides coverage only in India.

In my knowledge, travel insurance provides health cover only while you are traveling internationally along with non-health coverages like baggage dealy, flight delay and loss of personal documents.
