Re: Does travel insurance cover for medical expenses also?

Unexpected medical emergencies could occur any time, and if you’re caught up in such a situation when you’re travelling abroad, the experience could be particularly more harrowing. But with our travel insurance covering you, you can rest assured that we’ll have your back in such cases.
In case of a medical emergency, the travel insurance plan ensures that the necessary, usual and reasonable medical expenses you incur are reimbursed to you within 2 months from the date of such loss.

The emergency medical expenses covered by the plan include:
• Charges for a semi-private hospital room and board
• Use of the operating room, emergency room, and ambulatory medical centre
• Physicians’ fees
• Medical expenses, in or out of hospital, including laboratory tests, ambulance service (to or from the hospital), prescription medicines or drugs, therapeutics, anaesthetics (including administration of anaesthetics), transfusions, artificial limbs or eyes (excluding repair or replacement of these items), X-rays, and prosthetic appliances
• Charges for a registered nurse
