These countries include Cuba, The United States of America, The United Arab of Emirates, Ecuador, Antarctica, Qatar, Russia, Turkey and the group of 26 Schengen countries.

No. It is only mandatory in certain locations such as Schengen countries and Australia. However, senior citizens are exposed to more risk of falling sick in foreign locations due to their age. Hence, it is always advisable to carry a senior citizen travel insurance as a precautionary measure.
